Buckeye Partners’ original plan to provide bidirectionalservice on Laurel Pipeline by the end of this year is notexpected to happen as planned due to the ongoinglegal proceedings at the Pennsylvania Public UtilitiesCommission (PUC).The company said in its November earnings call thatits “proposed bidirectional services solution providesPennsylvania consumers with increased access to lowercost Midwest supplies fields, while allowing current shipperscontinued access to western Pennsylvania markets.”Buckeye is optimistic about receiving a favorable decisionfrom the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission to beginfirst bidirectional operation on a section of its Laurel Pipelinein early 2019.
