Amarcon to supply Octopus-Onboard for walk-to-work vessel

Amarcon, part of ABB group, has received a contract for Octopus-Onboard from Dutch company Wagenborg for its walk-to-work vessel. The new type of vessel is currently being built at the Royal Niestern Sander shipyard in the Netherlands (see OSJ December 2013 for more details). The dynamically positioned DP2 vessel will be 79m overall with a breadth of 16m, draught of 5.4m, service speed of 12.5 knots and is due to be delivered in early 2015.
