SeaBoats increases reach

A brokerage spanning both Australasian countries is reporting an increased reach into global markets. SeaBoats Australia and SeaBoats New Zealand are an evolution of Workboats International and are owned by Geoff Fraser and Peter Cookson. Mr Fraser's marine involvement started with yacht racing (winning a world championship in 1977), before developing a successful yacht and ship brokerage. Mr Cookson was a chief officer in the merchant navy and then a shipbroker for Clarksons. The company has branched out from recreational boats and reports that 80% of current enquiries are for commercial vessels. Recent sales include tugs, dive support vessels and workboats to clients in Germany, Bahrain, the UAE, Malaysia, Papua New Guinea, Fiji, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Australia and China. SeaBoats currently has brokers and agents in New Zealand, Australia, the USA, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and Korea with an administration team in the Philippines.
