The number of supply vessels working offshore East Africa has remained broadly static in recent months. The most recent additions to the region are the Deep Sea Supply PSVs Sea Spear, of 4,600 dwt PX105 design, and Sea Tortuga, a 4,000 dwt STX05L CD design. The vessels were fixed to ENI Mozambique for 18 months firm, who are returning for further drilling with the drillship Saipem 10000. They have been joined by the Chellsea-owned UT755LN PSV Ma Devi. Offshore Tanzania, one of two Farstad STX08CDS, Far Spica, supporting Statoil's drillship Discover Americas, departed last autumn. That left Far Scotsman and Skansi Eldborg. BG Group in Tanzania replaced Crest Mariner 1 and 2 with Crest Aries 1 and Crest Alpha 1, PSVs from the same owner, Pacific Radiance.
