An exodus of vessels from West Africa

Brokers have reported an exodus of vessels from West Africa as drilling and construction work is completed. Semi-submersible crane barge Hermod returned to Europe, towed by 16,000 bbp anchor handler Kolga after finishing construction work in Africa. Derrick/pipelay barge Saipem FDS was mobilised to Indonesia from Angola for drydocking and class renewal, after completing ExxonMobil's latest Kizomba satellites project. Hyundai Heavy Industries' derrick/pipelay barge HD 60 has also moved to Indonesia following completion of a Chevron project in Nigeria.
