CIG Shipbuilding to build support vessel

In early February 2015, CIG Shipbuilding in The Netherlands was contracted to design and build a windfarm support vessel for Acta Marine. The dynamic positioning (DP2) vessel will be 108m long with a breadth of 16m and will provide comfortable accommodation and workspace for 75 people. The vessel will be equipped with two dedicated boat landings for crew transfer vessels and a motion-compensated gangway that will allow safe transfer of technicians and equipment between the vessel and wind turbines.
