'Smarter and greener' operations reduces emissions

Sustainability has become a core value of corporate culture and an integral part of OSV operations, driven by the demands of regulators, charterers, investors and society for ever lower greenhouse gas emissions (GHG). Norway's Solstad Offshore ASA is one of the largest OSV owners in the world, with some 137 vessels; a decade ago it initiated an environmental operational programme called Solstad Green Operations (SGO) to cut CO_2, NOx and SOx emissions from its vessel operations.
