ThunderHawk FPU hull sails for U.S. Gulf

The hull of semisubmersible ThunderHawk FPU 5500 was recently completed at Dyna-Mac Engineering Services Pte Ltd.'s shipyard in Singapore. The hull of the floating production unit (FPU) is understood to have left the yard at the end of last month for the U.S., where it will be mated with the topsides built by Kiewit Offshore Services in Ingleside, Texas. ThunderHawk FPU 5500 is a capable of producing up to 60,000 b/d and 70 MMcf/d of gas. The FPU was built based on Atlantia Offshore Ltd.'s DeepDraft Semi design.
