The European Agency for Safety and Health at Work (EU-OSHA) now has a blog on its website, enabling the Agency to share news and information and users to add their own comments. In the first post, Jukka Takala, EU-OSHA director, explains that the explosion of Web 2.0 and collaborative networking online is crucial to the development of the Agency, as it enables knowledge and opinion to be shared so quickly and easily. He says: "We have plans to use these new technologies to help us find better waysrnof communicating with our audience, allowing you to exchange information with each other, and 'filtering out the noise' to make it easier to find quality-assured information." Each blog post is listed alongside the number of comments and date posted. Although messages are in a variety of European languages, users can choose to read the text in any language by using a drop-down menu.
