Virtually every workplace has some form of administration function associated with it and these admin duties are usually carried out in some form of office, whether this is a bench in the corner of a workshop, an enclosure within a factory or purpose made office blocks.rnHowever, offices are probably at or near the bottom of most people's list whenrnconsidering health and safety issues at work, especially in comparison to the higher profile, higher risk activities such as construction, manufacturing, farming etc. This perception does not mean that offices are inherently safe or healthy and may incidentally create a false sense of security in office workers. Indeed office workers may be exposed to numerous risks that have the potential to cause adverse, long term and/or debilitating effects on their wellbeing and welfare.
