NAVSEA Disestablishes Directorate, Shifting Offices To PEO USC And Other Offices

Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) is disestablishing a directorate, SEA 06, and redirecting its components into program Executive Office Unmanned Small Combatants (PEOUSC) and other NAVSEA directorates. According to an internal Navy newsletter, on Aug. 11 SEA 06 Warfighting Capability and Enterprise Readiness was directed to be disestablished by NAVSEA Commander Vice Adm. William Galinis and Executive Director James Smerchansky. Starting in October, the 130 civilian and 18 active-duty military personnel making up SEA 06 will start working under PEO USC; SEA 03, Cyber Engineering and Digital Transformation; SEA 05, Naval Systems Engineering; and SEA 10, Corporate Operations.
