摘要

Every day in Britain, at least one worker is killed or seriously injured following an accident involving a fork lift truck (FLT). In many cases, the victim was not the truck operator, but a person on foot, unfortunate enough to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.rnHowever, this is by no means a one-sided problem. Very often pedestrians and fork lift truck operators just don't take enough notice of each other. Operators going about their business will simply assume that they have the right of way or co-workers can hear or see them and will keep clear.
