First step taken in review of working time rules

The european Commission has taken its first step towards a planned comprehensive review of the Working Time Directive (WTD) later this year.In a first phase consultation, the Commission has asked European social partners, including BusinessEurope and the European Trade Union Confederation (ETUC), for their views on the directive and on whether action is needed at EU level to revise it.
