Academics should declare and report their links with pharmaceutical companies when giving media interviews if the credibility of public health research is to be maintained, warn researchers from several UK universities and A&E departments. The researchers released their findings on academics' conflicts of interest after analysing media coverage of the 2009-2010 H1N1 (swine flu) pandemic.
