Driver buried under load

An animal feed company has been fined £80,000 after one of its lorry drivers was killed when he was buried under tonnes of wheat being unloaded from his lorry in February 2011. Emergency services used a digger to try and free Andrew Harr-old, who was working at Transpan (Scotland) Ltd's Tore Mill site in Inverness. They removed around 10 tonnes of wheat, with help from Mr Harrold's colleagues, before finding Mr Harrold, who was unconscious. Attempts were made to resuscitate him but he died at the scene.
