HSE MOVE UNDER FIRE

The Parliamentary Select Committee on Work and Pensions has criticised heavily the HSE's planned move to a single headquarters in Bootle, Merseyside, with the closure of its London head office.The relocation will create a gap in its expertise, particularly in the areas of policy and litigation, it says.The committee says that the HSE is already'spreading itself too thinly' and warns the government against overloading it with additional responsibilities, such as widening the provision of OH services.
