PREPARING FOR FIT NOTES

The government has issued its response to the consultation on draft regulations to reform the medical statement1. It sets out the government's views on how the new 'fit note' will work in practice. The fit notes, which come into effect on 6 April, will contain only two options: 'unfit for work' and 'may be fit for some work', after the government decided to remove the 'fit for work' option.
