RETURN TO WORK

The large numbers of people on disability benefits and long-term sick leave has ensured that occupational rehabilitation's star is rising. Prognostic factors around return to work are complex and inter-related: many workers who undergo occupational rehabilitation still do not return to work. This Norwegian study aimed to identify retrospectively factors that may have resulted in a successful return. The study used qualitative interviews of 20 individuals who attended an occupational rehabilitation programme three years previously.
