148 WORKERS KILLED

The number of workers killed in Britain between April 2012 and March 2013 was 148, according to provisional figures from the HSE.The overall rate of fatal injury has now dropped to 0.5 per 100,000 workers, which is below the five-year average of 0.6 per 100,000, and the 148 workers fatally injured in the 12 months to March is a 14% reduction on the 178 killed in the previous year.
