1. The Work Capability Assessment (WCA) determines if a claimant is eligible for employment and support allowance 2. Atos Healthcare runs the tests on behalf of the DWP-the government will use additional providers from 2014 3. Staff who conduct WCAs at Atos Healthcare do not require an occupational health qualification, but must have three years' post-registration clinical experience and have worked directly with patients 4. All WCA assessment staff are given training in disability assessment. The length of training depends on their profession: nine days for doctors; 18 days for nurses; and 21 days for physiotherapists.
