EDF Energy, RWE/E.On UK pick up sites for potential new reactors

Three European utilities - EDF Energy, RWE npower and E.On UK - now control 10 of the 11 sites nominated as potential locations for new reactors in the UK after spending GBP387 million (US$572.3 million) to acquire three of the sites last week from the UK Nuclear Decommissioning Authority, or NDA.rnRWE npower and E.On UK acquired the Wylfa and Oldbury sites in an NDA auction; EDF took the NDA's Bradwell site, which is contiguous with EDF land at Bradwell.
