PPL's Susquehanna-2 in Pennsylvania remains shut as operators work on an ongoing problem with the unit's lowpressure turbine blades. The 1,330-MW reactor shut June 25 so the unit's turbine blades could be inspected for small cracks. Disassembly of the Susquehanna-2 turbine had begun, company spokesman Joseph Scopelliti said in an interview June 27. Scopelliti declined to provide information on the schedule for completing the work. "We're working as methodically as we can."
