Asia is by far the largest growing nuclear energy region in the world, and the bulk of new reactors are expected to be built in China and India - two rapidly expanding giants. In addition, Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan are expected to continue to rely on nuclear power, while several emerging economies in Southeast Asia and Central Asia are also looking to begin nuclear development programs. Not to be forgotten, Australia’s approach to nuclear power continues to evolve, albeit at a slow pace. Thus, most of the industry’s future growth will come from the Asia Pacific region.
