USEC and DOE agree on lease, licensing terms

USEC Inc. pushed its plans for an American Centrifuge uranium enrichment plant closer to reality on December 8 when it announced the signing of a pair of contracts with the Department of Energy. One contract is for the American Centrifuge project's long-term use of DOE buildings in Piketon, Ohio, and the second is for a technology license for a new American Centrifuge plant that is to be built in Piketon. The financial terms of the contracts were not disclosed.
