Commissioner Svinicki nominated for second term

The White House announced on May 8 that Kristine Svinicki has been nominated to serve a second term on the Nuclear Regulatory Commission. Svinicki was sworn in as a commissioner on March 28, 2008, for a term that ends on June 30. She has been nominated for a full five-year term that expires on June 30,2017. As with any appointment to the NRC, the nomination requires confirmation by the Senate.
