Advanced SMRs: Providing new nuclear opportunities

Today, many of the leading advanced reactors ready for deployment are small modular reactors (SMR) whose designs have been dramatically improved by many of the advances being implemented in the larger units, including the introduction of more passive features, simplification, and, of course, modularization. They also allow factory fabrication of identical units and can be flexibly used in heating and other applications. They also open up new financing possibilities that do not exist in the current markets.
