Final SEIS issued for Ross project

Strata Energy Inc. received a final sup-plemental environmental impact statement for its Ross in situ uranium recovery project on February 28. The Nuclear Regulatory Commission found no environmental impacts that would preclude the licensing of the facility, which is located in Crook County, Wyo. Strata submitted its license application in January 2011. If approved, the license will authorize Strata to construct and operate a facility and well fields at the Ross site and will require that the company ultimately restore aquifers, decommission the facility, and reclaim the site.
