The Fukushima Daiichi Accident. This new publication from the International Atomic Energy Agency is the result of an extensive international collaborative effort involving five working groups with some 180 experts from 42 member states and several international bodies. It consists of six printed volumes and five supplementary CD-ROMs. The printed material includes a report by IAEA Director General Yukiya Amano plus five technical volumes: Description and Context of the Accident; Safety Assessment; Emergency Preparedness and Response; Radiological Consequences; and Post-accident Recovery. The Fukushima Daiichi Accident is intended to be of use to national authorities, international organizations, nuclear regulatory bodies, nuclear power plant operating organizations, designers of nuclear facilities, and other experts in matters relating to nuclear power, as well as to the wider public.
