Pamela Cowan has been appointed president of West-inghouse Electric Company's Americas operating plant services unit, succeeding David Howell, who retired in September. Cowan has been in the commercial nuclear industry for more than 30 years, most recently as senior vice president of Holtec International and chief operating officer of Holtec Decommissioning International. She began her professional career at Westinghouse as a nuclear engineer specializing in transient analysis of pressured water reactors and is a licensed senior reactor operator.
