Ihave been in the nuclear industry for 40 years, 32 as a supplier, with more than half of that with the Curtiss-Wright Nuclear Division. Several years ago, while participating on the team that updated the Electric Power Research Institute's (EPRI) commercial grade dedication guidelines, I had an epiphany. It wasn't until recently that I realized how this epiphany could lead to an industry solution. After discussing and refining the concept internally and with utility and industry leaders in the area of commercial grade dedication, Curtiss-Wright Nuclear Division is embarking on an effort with the potential to save the industry millions of dollars annually.
