TradeTech’s monthly U_3O_8 spot price,the Exchange Value®, for October 31was $29.90 per pound U_3O_8,a decrease of $0.20 from theSeptember 30 Exchange Value, andunchanged from the October 30 DailyU_3O_8 Spot Price Indicator.The drop in the U_3O_8 spot pricefollowed a month that was relativelyquiet with 31 transactions involving7.0 million pounds U_3O_8 equivalentreported, up from the 4.9 millionpounds U_3O_8 equivalent recorded inSeptember. Buyers in the spot uraniummarket in October consisted mainly ofprimary producers and intermediaries,including traders and financial entities.Utilities accounted for less than20 percent of the total volume purchasedin the spot market during October.
