Flask trailer delivery

The UKAEA has taken delivery of its first £80,000 trailer from rnEngland's Andover Trailers - a five-axle concentrated load step frame, capable of taking load weights of up to 65t.rnThe UKAEA will be taking delivery of an existing flask for its own use, which will be transported using die new trailer. The 45t shielded container from BNFL will be used at Dounreay, in northern Scotland.rnUKAEA project engineer Paul MacAskill said: "The new flask would not fit on a standard trailer as we needed something to enable us to move it around the site, and offsite as required. We also required the new trailer to be able to accommodate the lifting beam and associated equipment required to lift the flask on and off the trailer."
