ECP monitoring is beneficial for feed-water surveillance. A new ECP sensor has been developed for a PWR secondary system offering more accurate measurements with higher sensitivity to residual amounts of oxygen. The sensor has been used during successful OWC tests to reduce FAC in the Tsuruga 2 PWR for verification of the effect of added oxygen on ECP and to verify that oxygen-free final feedwater is maintained even during oxygen addition.
