Load factors explanatory notes

Units listed include all the civil nuclear reactors with power output of 150 MWe and above from which we regularly receive adequate monthly data. Annual load factors of unte for the 12 months to end September 2013, and lifetime (which are also called cumulative) load factors to end September 2013 are presented in Table 2, pp. 38-9. The figures are calculated on the same basis as that used since early 1976 so that trends can be established.
