Inaugural NI Lecture in Wales

The Nuclear Institute (NI) enjoyed a very successful evening in Bangor University on 4 October 2011, when a full house audience attended the inaugural NI sponsored nuclear lecture in Wales. The lecture was delivered by Dr John Roberts, Nuclear Fellow at the Dalton Nuclear Institute at the University of Manchester, who presented an extremely interesting and informative talk about the events surrounding the Japanese earthquake and tsunami and the subsequent nuclear accident at Fukushima - and how the learning from these events is carried in to the detailed designs of the new generation of nuclear reactors.
