Report outlines investment in UK nuclear energy projects

An estimated £2 billion has been invested in nuclear power between 2010 and 2013 in the UK, according to a new Government report. The Department of Energy and Climate Change report on energy investment said the investment estimate includes the purchase of Horizon Nuclear Power by GE Hitachi, the purchase of the Moorside nuclear site by NuGen and expenditures in the period relating to the development of Hinkley Point C.
