As I enter the n'th hour, tucked away in my home office with headphones on, I can't help but think this is my own personal version of'time-distance-shielding', although I've lost track of whether I'm avoiding coronavirus or the stir-crazy family and very confused cat. Like many in the UK, I'm continuing to work from home as directed by the Government, attempting to achieve 'business as usual', in line with our continuity plan. Except this isn't usual. In emergency management speak, as a country we're in the 'response phase'; we're saving lives, providing care to the masses, stabilising the incident, preserving infrastructure... yet STILL checking our inboxes. If anything, this is business UN-usual.
