Global spunlaced nonwovens production up 9.5%

Global production of spunlaced nonwovens has increased by an average of 9.5% for the past five years, to a total of 819,000 tonnes in 2011, according to a report from INDA. The study, Global Spunlaced Technology Markets and Trends -2011-2016, forecasts that production in the largest spunlaced markets, which are NAFTA (Canada, Mexico and the United States), Europe and China, will continue to grow at an average rate of 8.2% a year through 2016.
