HOW DO YOU KNOW IF YOU ARE MAKING MONEY? Seems a simple question, but if you are in business you likely have some areas that are negatively impacting your profit and you may not know it. We call this "leakage". They're those places where money is slipping through the cracks and could do with being addressed. Do you know, quantifiably, whether your marketing is giving you a return on investment? If you can't prove whether every dollar is working hard for a return, should you really be spending? There are generally two basic types of marketing expense. The first is marketing invested in winning new business, through whatever channel. Its purpose is to bring new business back in.
