Managing employees in a social media technology workplace

The internet connects us like never before and technology of which social media is a part of has opened the door to new possibilities. During the past 30 years there has been an evolving of communication in the workplace. From the fax machine, to the PC to email and now to social media, the workplace is always undergoing change in communications. Social media in daily life crosses people, technology and communication practices. Communication now comes 'with us' as opposed 'to us'. We don't need to be at home or at work on our PC to communicate. We can do this as we travel.
