New Projects for Industrial Science and Technology R&D Program FY 1996 Technology for Novel High-Functional Materials

摘要

This section describes various R&D projects being carried out in Japan on a national scale. Polymers containing hetero-atoms such as nitrogen, oxygen arid sulfur as well as aromatic rings in their principal chains display excellent characteristics such as high thermal resistance and enormous strengths, so they are playing the major roles among polymer materials as engineering plastics and polymer materials for manufacturing textile products.
