NATIONAL R&D PROJECTS

摘要

This section describes various R&D projects being carried out in Japan on a national scale. Elderly people requiring nursing (disabled and bed-confined persons) cannot engage in various activities without help, so they tend to lose the will to do things by themselves. Therefore, it is vital to arouse the sense of self-assertion of these persons and to encourage them to do whatever is possible by themselves. One of the daily activities to spark this mentality is the act of having these persons engage in self-support during excretion.
