Okamoto Medical Co., Ltd. has developed a new type of bedsore prevention air mattress Exquisite Pleasantness that prevents the phenomenon of the buttocks being embedded into the mattress when the upper part of the body is raised and the body weight concentrated at the buttock part to depress the buttock strongly on the mattress, which had been the disadvantage of the conventional type of air mattress. This is an upright posture supporting type air mattress that facilitates daily riseup from the mattress. To prevent the buttocks from being embedded into the bed when the upper part of the body is raised, an additional cell is fitted inside the usual cell (air tube), to comprise a newly developed air mattress using a pair of cells in a duplex structure. Even when the upper part of the body is raised, the inner and outer cells are alternately expanded to support the sitting posture over a long time without having to use a pump each time.
