Why should we worry about making our computers secure? Most households will soon have an "always-on" Internet connection instead of a modem, and then you'll be able to get to any computer from any computer. There'll be very serious security problems because none of the computers that we have today can really be called secure. Your documents could be ransacked or passwords stolen without you ever knowing.
