The MRC is committed to sustaining excellent basic science while strengthening research that translates fundamental understanding into new and improved treatments, interventions and healthcare services.rnFollowing the recent increase in Government funding for health research, the MRC is pleased to invite applications for Fellowships in two new programmes - in Methodology Research and Population Health Sciences - and for Fellowships in Biostatistics.rnOur Fellowships provide personal support for the research careers of highly talented scientists, clinicians and other professionals. Some schemes, such as those we announce here, are targeted to specific strategic skills needs.rnPlease select carefully the scheme most appropriate to you. The schemes differ in disciplinary focus, eligibility criteria and the stage of career to which they are targeted.
