Consumed by conflict and caught in the grip of a severe conservation crisis, the Grauer's gorilla - the world's largest gorilla - is fighting for survival. Fauna & Flora International (FFI) has put out an urgent call to the global community to save the remaining 3,800 Grauer's gorillas. Funds are sought immediately to help protect new community nature reserves that are essential to the survival of the remaining gorillas between the Maiko and Kahuzi-Biega National Parks in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). It is a crucial step towards protecting these elusive and Critically Endangered apes from complete extinction.
