EVEN in the recent past, art and science collaborations (known to some as sci-art) might have involved older scientists who had made their reputations and were now interested in sharing their knowledge in pleasantly unusual ways. Alternatively, they involved young scientists who enjoyed art, but worried that they should not be seen to be straying too far from the highway of scientific advance.
