This week's acquisition of content aggregator On Demand Group by video-on-demand technology company SeaChange will enable the two companies to push more aggressively their joint product into Europe. UK cable operators NTL and Telewest have already deployed a VOD system from On Demand Group and SeaChange. Tony Kelly, chief executive of On Demand Group, said that the company's new US parent would provide technical knowledge, new sales contacts and financial backing to target both DSL and cable operators looking to roll-out on-demand services in Europe.
