Sky will miss 2010 target, says Morgan Stanley

BSkyB could miss its landmark target of 10 million subscribers by the end of 2010 by a considerable margin, according to investment bank Morgan Stanley. In recent weeks, several investment banks have suggested that BSkyB will reach the target, partly aided by the recent launch of its broadband internet service. But Morgan Stanley, which has often been among the more bearish of banks when it comes to the satellite-television company, says that on current trends BSkyB would not even get half way to the 1,824,000 million extra homes it needs to reach the 10 million threshold.
