BSkyB is undoubtedly one of the big success stories in British business over recent years, launched at a time when most UK consumers recoiled in horror at the thought of sticking a dish on their roofs to watch more television. Nearly two decades and nine million subscribers later, the company has transformed the face of UK broadcasting and deserves the plaudits it receives. Along the way the company has upset more than a few competitors and claims of anti-competitive behaviour have been as much a part of BSkyB's life as Premier League football and The Simpsons. So far BSkyB has managed to survive, with little damage, various investigations by regulators.
